Rasik Bandhan ("Rasik Bandhan", "we", "us", "our", "the App", or "the Service") is an Android matrimony (marriage-matchmaking) platform for the Hindu and Gaudiya Vaishnava devotional community, intended solely for adults seeking marriage. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out the Child Safety Standards we maintain to keep our platform safe, to detect and act on prohibited content and conduct, and to comply with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable Indian law.
These standards apply to every user, every profile, every photograph, and every message on the App, without exception. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to abide by these standards. We may update this page from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
1. Adults-only platform
Rasik Bandhan is strictly an adults-only platform. The Service is designed exclusively for adults who are legally permitted to marry under Indian law, and it is not intended for, marketed to, or to be used by anyone under the age of 18.
- Every user must be 18 years of age or older. During registration, each user must confirm that they are at least 18 years old, and our content and conduct standards are built around an adult-only audience.
- The App collects a user's age or date of birth as part of profile creation, helping us keep the community adults-only.
- We do not knowingly permit minors to register, create a profile, or use the App in any way. If we learn that an account belongs to, or is being used by, a person under 18, we will remove or suspend that account promptly and delete the associated profile data, retaining only what the law requires.
- If you believe a minor has created an account or is using the App, please report it immediately using the methods described in Section 3. We treat such reports as the highest priority.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE / CSAM
We maintain an absolute, zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). There are no exceptions and no warnings: a single confirmed violation results in permanent removal from the Service and, where the law requires, a report to the relevant authorities.
The following are strictly prohibited on Rasik Bandhan. We prohibit, and take action against, any content, conduct, or attempted conduct that:
- constitutes, contains, depicts, promotes, links to, requests, or distributes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, whether real, animated, simulated, or computer-generated;
- sexualises, exploits, abuses, or endangers any minor (any person under 18 years of age);
- attempts to groom, solicit, lure, blackmail, sextort, or traffic a minor, or to arrange any sexual contact with a minor;
- shares, requests, or threatens to share sexual content involving anyone under 18;
- impersonates a minor, or misrepresents an adult or minor in order to facilitate any of the above;
- otherwise endangers a child's safety, dignity, or wellbeing.
How we detect prohibited content: profile photos and content on the App are reviewed using a combination of automated systems (including third-party AI moderation service providers) and human review to detect prohibited or unsafe content, including suspected CSAE/CSAM. We combine these proactive measures with user reports (see Section 3) to find and remove violations as quickly as possible.
Engaging in any of the prohibited conduct above is grounds for immediate and permanent removal from the Service and may constitute a serious criminal offence under Indian law (see Section 5).
3. How to report a concern
We make it easy for anyone to report content or behaviour that may harm a child, and we treat every child-safety report as the highest priority. You do not need to be certain a violation has occurred to report it — if something concerns you, please tell us. There are two ways to report:
- In-app reporting: every profile and every chat in the App includes a "Report" option. Use it to flag any profile, photo, message, or behaviour that you believe sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor, that may involve CSAM, or that suggests a user is under 18. Reports relating to child safety are routed for urgent review.
- Email: you can also report a concern directly to rasikbandhan@gmail.com. Please include as much detail as you safely can — for example, the profile name or identifier, what you observed, and approximately when it happened — so that we can review and act quickly.
Reports may be made by users and by non-users alike. We do not require you to share content that may be illegal in order to report it; a clear description and any in-app identifiers are sufficient for us to investigate.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please also contact your local law-enforcement or emergency services without delay, in addition to reporting to us.
4. Our response
When we receive a credible report or our systems and reviewers detect a violation, we act promptly and decisively. Our response includes the following steps:
- Prompt review: we review the reported content, profile, or account promptly, prioritising any matter that relates to child safety.
- Remove content: we remove the offending content from the App as quickly as possible to prevent further harm or distribution.
- Permanent ban: we permanently ban the responsible account and take reasonable steps to prevent the same individual from rejoining the Service.
- Preserve evidence: we preserve relevant evidence (including content, account records, and related metadata) as required to support investigations by, and cooperation with, the appropriate authorities, retaining it for only as long as the law requires.
- Report to authorities: we report CSAM to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in India, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and other relevant Indian law-enforcement and statutory bodies, in accordance with applicable law.
We cooperate fully with law-enforcement and statutory authorities and will disclose information where required by law or to protect a child from harm. Action taken under these standards is in addition to, and does not limit, any other rights or remedies available to us under our Terms & Conditions or applicable law.
5. Legal compliance
Rasik Bandhan is operated in India and governed by the laws of India. We comply with applicable child-protection and intermediary laws, including, where relevant:
- the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, India's primary law against the sexual abuse and exploitation of children;
- the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, which require us to act on unlawful content, including any material that depicts a child in a sexual act or conduct.
We cooperate with regional, state, and national law-enforcement and statutory authorities as required by law, and we may preserve and disclose information, and report CSAM, to such authorities. In particular, we report CSAM to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in India, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and other relevant Indian law-enforcement and statutory bodies, in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute relating to the Service is subject to the laws of India and the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
6. Designated point of contact
We maintain a designated point of contact for all child-safety matters, who is ready and able to receive reports and to discuss our CSAE/CSAM prevention practices and compliance with Google Play and with authorities.
